Conducted in-home interviews and designed research communication tools to reveal opportunities for designers to re-frame the term “green” for a variety of California audiences. Final design proposals consisted of a mobile farmer's market that travels to under-served neighborhoods and a symbol-based food labeling system that can be scanned using smart phones to obtain information on food products
