Branding and website design for electronic artist & DJ, Christina Chatfield aka Anitserk. The look and feel was inspired by the digital nature of Christina’s music production and performance. She performs live PAs and spins vinyl. The textures and forms used in the design were derived from examining the characteristics of the vinyl record. Using the tight lines that form the grooves of a vinyl record, I experimented with creating optical illusions of rhythm and motion using static shapes and repetition. After 3 or 4 iterations, the circular form produced the most compelling rhythm and further referenced the environments in which Christina’s music can be found – underground night clubs.
