AnDa PiroshkiProject Type: Identity & Web Design Identity and web design for Anda Piroshki, a small piroshki shop located in Bernal Heights in San Francisco. Owner Anna Tvelova makes wonderful authentic Russian piroshkis using traditional recipes but with healthier preparation methods. The project was part of my design consultation work with La Cocina in San Francisco’s Mission District. Anna wanted Anda Piroshki’s to have a fun, light-hearted, and energetic feel to reflect piroshki as part of a balanced, healthy lifestyle. The matryoshka – the character used in the design – is a symbol of motherhood and care and meant to denote the nourishment that piroshki provide. The color palate was inspired by the bright red handkerchief that Anna (chef and owner) wears while preparing her delicious piroshkis and the fresh ingredients such as fresh dill, parsley, apples and lean meats.
